Avalon Mosaic is the apartment component of Edens & Avant's mixed-use town center Mosaic District. AvalonBay was selected as the developer of 531 apartments above retail and will own and operate the community. Mosaic District will eventually contain 400,000 sq. ft. of retail including a Target, a Hotel Sierra and 60,000 sq. ft. of office space. The 31-acre community is being built on the site of a former multiplex movie theater and behind the Vantage condo/apartments. AvalonBay plans to start construction in Q4 2012.
