U Street Corridor

JBG plans to turn the land it purchased for $11.5 million, currently near-vacant except for a flea market that operates on the weekend, into two buildings with five stories of apartments, ground-floor retail and one level of underground parking. The larger building, bounded on the north by Florida Avenue, will run from 8th to 9th Street, and the smaller building will sit just to the east. Architectural design by Seattle-based Miller Hull Architects. Number of units TBD.
