Walmart in partnership with JBG Rosenfeld is developing multiple stores in the DC area including one adjacent to Gonzaga High School on a former Government Printing Office parking lot. The 76,000 sq. ft. store will offer more groceries than a typical Walmart. The building will be topped by four stories of residential with a 280,000 sq. ft. building containing 303 apartments. MV+A Architects and The Preston Partnership are handling the design. Construction is expected to start in early 2012.
