   I wonder if the home in NE is a foreclosure. There is only one picture of the home…I would fire that agent.

   Estate Sales!  Having purchased many properties over the years from all parts of DC I have found that the real deals can be found via the estate sale market and understanding how probates work. Not the easiest route but definitely the most rewarding. Some involve a little work but most of the time it’s light cosmetic issues and you can usually find something with quite a bit of equity in it. They make for good starter homes and building equity from the start.
