In What X Buys You this week, UrbanTurf takes a look at properties on the market in the $364,000 to $370,000 range to give readers an idea of what type of homes are available in this price point in the DC area.

Restored Petworth Three-Bedroom Row House

As UrbanTurf has mentioned, a growing trend in Petworth these days is for homes to be purchased at a low price, gutted and then given a complete makeover. This three-level row home near the Petworth/Parkview border does not fall into that category or property; rather the woodwork in the house has been restored and it still has a number of the original details from when it was built in 1919. In addition to three bedrooms, the listing has a full basement and a cool looking sun room (see photo above).

  • Full Listing: 304 Taylor Street NW (map)
  • Price: $370,000
  • Bedrooms: Three
  • Bathrooms: Two
  • Square Footage: 1,320
  • Listing Agent: Brian Gessner, Keller Williams

814 Square-Foot Mount Pleasant One-Bedroom

This one-bedroom condo in Mount Pleasant sits on the top floor of The Alroy, a 50-unit building in the middle of the neighborhood’s commercial corridor. At 814 square feet, it is pretty large by one-bedroom standards in DC, and the majority of that space is located in the best part of the unit (in our opinion): the living room and attached solarium. The kitchen (which seems to come to an interesting V-shape on one side) and bathroom were re-done three years ago, and in addition to wood floors throughout, there is an in-unit washer/dryer.

  • Full Listing: 1615 Kenyon Street NW, #53 (map)
  • Price: $369,000
  • Bedrooms: One
  • Bathrooms: One
  • Square Footage: 814
  • Listing Agent: William Burr, Burr Residential Properties

Two-Bedroom Garden Unit in Fairlington’s Courtbridge Community

Located in Fairlington, this two-bedroom garden unit sits tucked away in the Courtbridge community, a two building project not far from Route 7. The 1,180 square-foot condo has two decks, a fireplace, and new carpeting and flooring. Courtbridge’s main selling point, given the recent temperature spike, may be its swimming pool.
