The Best New Listings in the DC Area

  • October 5, 2009

by Mark Wellborn

This week’s best new listings in the DC area include a two-bedroom condo in the heart of Logan Circle, a well-priced, one-bedroom condo just south of Adams Morgan and a four-bedroom Tudor in Shepherd Park with some very attractive bedrooms.

Two-Bedroom Condo in the Thick of Logan Circle

image

1224 13th Street NW (see map here)

  • Price: $475,000
  • Bedrooms: Two
  • Bathrooms: Two
  • Year Built: 1885

Perhaps the most interesting thing about this two-bedroom condo is that it sits in a Victorian in Logan Circle that looks as though it was plopped down in the middle of the neighborhood’s many high-rise apartment buildings. The unit itself has a large living and dining area and a new gourmet kitchen with an enormous counter and breakfast bar. For this renovated unit, the condo fees are very low, although there is no parking space. For the full listing, click here.

Good-Priced One-Bedroom Condo in Adams Morgan

image

1830 17th Street NW, T-1 (see map here)

  • Price: $349,000
  • Bedrooms: One
  • Bathrooms: 1.5
  • Square Footage: 765
  • Price per SF: $456
  • Year Built: 1901

This one-bedroom condo just south of Adams Morgan is a large unit that is priced very well for the neighborhood. It is on the ground floor, but with seven windows it gets a good amount of natural light. The living room is spacious enough for a large dining room table, and there is also room for a small table in the kitchen. $350K is a good price for this area, even if it doesn’t include parking. For the full listing, click here.

Four-Bedroom Tudor in Shepherd Park

image

1355 Jonquil Street NW (see map here)

  • Price: $649,000
  • Bedrooms: Four
  • Bathrooms: 2.5
  • Year Built: 1932

While the price for this four-bedroom home in Shepherd Park may seem like the most attractive aspect of the property, what really caught our eye were the bedrooms. From the large traditional master bedroom to the third floor loft with skylights, the variety of bedrooms in this property makes it a great option for a young family. In addition to the bedrooms, the home also has two fireplaces, a study on the first floor, a large living room and a back patio and garden. For the full listing, click here.
