The Best New Listings in the DC Area
Our favorite new listings this week include a renovated four-bedroom in Petworth for under $450k, a two-bedroom condo in Kalorama that has undergone a huge renovation and a small Cape Cod cottage in Bethesda.

This renovated three-story, four-bedroom in Petworth is priced low, even in a struggling housing market. The property has a gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances, an enormous master bedroom (22’x10’) and an off-street parking space. It is a short walk from the Petworth Metro station. This two-bedroom condo in Kalorama just hit the market after undergoing a $220K renovation. (The owner is an architect.) There are cherry hardwood floors and exposed brick throughout the main level and the ceilings are nine-feet tall in most places. The kitchen and bathrooms are brand new and the property comes with a parking space and access to a community roof deck. The condo fees are high but include all utilities, central A/C and cable. Three-Bedroom Cape Cod in Bethesda

This three-bedroom, two-bath brick Cape Cod in the Crestview section of Bethesda is a great cottage for a small family. Perhaps the best part of the home is the owner’s suite that has skylights, built-ins and a large bathroom. There is a large deck that overlooks the backyard and the property is within walking distance of the Friendship Heights Metro stop on the red line. For the full listing, click here.

It’s actually in Park View, not Petworth, though it’s very close to the Petworth metro.
What is the neighborhood in Park View like? I’m quasi-familiar with Columbia Heights, but not much north of there.
I’ve been tempted to look at houses around there, but have yet to based on my ignorance of the area.
Hey Tiffany,
We haven’t profiled Park View yet, but we have done a write-up about Petworth, which is just to the north of the neighborhood.
