Sponsored Post: Lindsay Reishman Real Estate—A Fresh Approach

  • May 11, 2010

Lindsay Reishman has always had an entrepreneurial bent, so it is not surprising that the Logan/Dupont-based real estate agent decided to open up his own brokerage this year.

Reishman’s decision to set out on his own after six years in the business was not only triggered by a high level of success, but also a desire to provide a higher level of service to his clients.

“For most people, buying or selling a home will be one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives,” Reishman said. “I wanted to set up a brokerage where I could provide the highest level of service possible to help people with these transactions.”

Lindsay Reishman Real Estate was founded earlier this year with this in mind. Reishman contends that individual agents can’t possibly provide the level of service the modern client has grown to expect without the help of a well-trained support staff. His brokerage consists of three agents including himself and three employees that take care of all the behind the scenes work.

“I believe this is the future of the real estate industry. It’s a business model that cuts all the fat that comes with large retail space and corporate overhead, allowing us to invest more in the client experience.”

Reishman’s goal in striking out on his own was also bolstered by a desire to start a business that connects with the community. In addition to hosting summer movies in Dupont Circle’s Stead Park, Reishman has sponsored a community Easter egg hunt for the last four years and a youth soccer program for the past two.

The approach seems to be paying off. With nearly $20 million in sales so far this year, the firm is on pace to be one of the top producers in the Logan Circle/Dupont Circle area. Reishman finds that focusing on a specific area gives his brokerage a leg up.

“Because our agents are so specialized, it allows us to find out about properties before they come on the market, have more detailed knowledge on local pricing, and gain insider neighborhood information to share with our clients,” Reishman explained.
