Potomac Station: Condos Just Upstairs From the Neighborhood Deli
One-Bedroom at Potomac Station
Potomac Station, a five-unit condo project aptly named because it is just across the street from the Potomac Avenue Metro in Capitol Hill, went on sale a week ago and will eventually have retail on the ground floor that may be as appealing as the units themselves. Taking nothing away from the condos, which are some of the nicest you can get for the money in the city, when Annie and Teddie's, a neighborhood deli designed by the folks behind Granville Moore's, arrives this winter the line outside the ground floor of this project will likely be long. Annie and Teddy's will feature inventive sandwiches with roasted meats, carefully picked produce and artisanal breads as well as craft beers, hand-made cocktails and inexpensive wines. Not a bad option to have right outside your front door.
Location - 1401 Potomac Avenue SE (map)
Living Space - Potomac Station is a condo conversion of a building that was recently made up of apartments. Each of the five units received a huge facelift with Restoration Hardware-style upgrades, according to the listing agent, while maintaining the charm and character of the property. There are four one-bedrooms, some of which have large entry foyers that could be an office or den, and one 1,300 square-foot two-bedroom unit. With only a week on the market, three of the units are already under contract.
Price Range - The two remaining one-bedroom units are listed for $299,900 and range in size from 600 to 700 square feet.
