New Adams Morgan Condo Project to Hit the Market: Figure 1
The Charles

The Charles, a new four-unit condo project on Ontario Street in Adams Morgan, will go on sale this Friday, UrbanTurf has learned.

The row house at 2431 Ontario Street NW (map) was originally built in 1914, and has been converted into a four-unit project by Lock 7 Development, LLC over the last year. The two-bedroom condos will be priced between $519,000 and $829,000 with square footage ranging from roughly 1,125 square feet up to approximately 1,500. Each unit has a small outdoor deck, but the penthouse has an almost 400 square-foot roof deck, in addition to a similarly-sized lower-level outdoor space.

Photos are not yet available, but the image below is from a Lock 7 project on 10th Street which the units at The Charles were modeled after. The developer also chronicled the construction progress on its blog, which to their credit, they updated fairly regularly. It detailed the various steps of the process, including the excavation of the project site, which proved particularly challenging.
