New 46-Unit Condo Project Coming to Silver Spring
A condo at The Orion
UrbanTurf has learned that Silver Spring’s first new condo project in years will open on August 4th.
The Orion, a four-story, 46-unit building at 8005 13th Street (map) close to downtown Silver Spring, will open its doors a week from this Saturday. Designed by Alan Myers, a Silver Spring-based architect, units at The Orion have wide-plank floors and ceramic tile baths, and the building’s amenities include garage parking, a rooftop deck, fitness center, and a glass-enclosed lounge. Prices range from $241,900 to $388,900, with units ranging in size from 665 square feet for a one-bedroom to 1,415-square feet for a two-bedroom with den.
“There is a large rental pool in Silver Spring, and there is clearly a pent-up demand,” David Mayhood of The Mayhood Companies told UrbanTurf, noting that several condos at The Orion have already been sold.
The Orion is adjacent to Galaxy Apartments, another project from RST Development, which is almost fully leased.
