Deal of the Week: Columbia Heights Convenience for Cheap

For this week’s Deal of the Week, we look at a two-bedroom condo on Columbia Road that is just about two blocks from the the Columbia Heights Metro and the neighborhood’s retail corridor. The unit is located in the 22-unit Berkeley condo that, while not renovated with the highest quality finishes, offers some good-sized units at relatively low prices. This unit measures out at about 900 square feet and the monthly payments work out to just slightly more than what you would pay in rent for a two-bedroom in the area. Here are some monthly payment calculations based on a 20 percent down payment and a 30-year fixed rate mortgage at 5 percent.

The finishes look pretty damn nice to me. Especially at that price for being about one block from the metro stop. And 2 BR!
Looks like a steal to me!
The pics that you have presented and those on the full listing link (to Sotheby’s site) are different. And, the price on Sotheby’s is quoted at $389,000.
