Best New Listings: Walk-In Closet, Basketball Court, and Mirrored Doors

by Shilpi Paul

In this week’s edition of Best New Listings, we look at an H Street one-bedroom with a walk-in closet, a Silver Spring rambler with a basketball court, and a Dupont Circle condo with mirrored doors.

An H Street One-Bedroom With a Walk-In Closet

Usually, living in a 516-square-foot condo means that space, particularly storage space, is tight. However, this one-bedroom that just hit the market on the western edge of the H Street Corridor has a surprising feature: a large walk-in closet with cool built-ins. The open living room and kitchen are on the small side, but an over-sized fireplace makes the space feel generous. Also, monthly condo fees are notably low at $184/month.

  • Full listing: 676 4th Street NE #101 (map)
  • Price: $289,000
  • Bedrooms: One
  • Bathrooms: One
  • Square Footage: 516
  • Listing Agent: Shane Reeder, Lindsay Reishman Real Estate

Basketball Court and a Treehouse Come With Silver Spring Rambler

The sellers of this home likely enjoyed its outdoor features. The woodsy, landscaped backyard is essentially a really nice park: starting with multiple decks (some covered, some not), a hot tub and a treehouse, the owners also decided to build an extensive basketball court behind the house. The interior seems equally lived in and comfortable, and we particularly liked the fireplace in the kitchen.

Mirrored Doors North of Dupont Circle

This two-bedroom is in The Farnsboro, a six-story, Beaux Arts building north of Dupont Circle on the edge of Kalorama. The listing has some classic touches, like shuttered windows, a separate dining room and mirrored closet doors (the kitchen seems a bit dated, though). The monthly fees are a bit on the high side ($749/month), but that is to be expected of a 1,300-square foot unit in a fancy neighborhood and building in DC.

  • Full listing: 2129 Florida Avenue NW, #4 (map)
  • Price: $724,900
  • Bedrooms: Two
  • Bathrooms: Two
  • Square Footage: 1,317
  • Listing Agent: Phyllis Alexander, Long and Foster
