A Federal Rowhouse in Burleith

Burleith is a small neighborhood of 500 or so houses just north of Georgetown that is often mistaken for its more tony neighborhood to the south. This Federal-style rowhouse across the street from the Corcoran College of Art and Design is one of those 500 houses. It has a big, gleaming kitchen as well as a pool out back. The open family spaces mean less elbow room in the bedrooms, however. For the 20007 zip code, this is also one of those rare three-bedrooms under $1 million.

An Eastern Market Victorian With Income Potential

This uniquely-styled rowhouse sits near Eastern Market on Capitol Hill. The home has big expanses of exposed brick along the stairwell, as well as a long brick rear patio and parking. As far as layout, it is in essence a two-bedroom home with a rental. The main section has one larger bedroom and a smaller option upstairs. Downstairs is a one-bedroom suite that helps with the mortgage payments.

A Two-Bedroom Takoma Park Special

Takoma Park is Silver Spring’s “more than a little bit quirky“ neighbor. That description is also fitting for this new two-bedroom listing that is a little rough around the edges. Still, while there are portions that could use a little love, the 1923-built house has plenty of historic charm, a big backyard, and, at just $400,000, it will likely have a number of visitors this weekend.
