However, the listing also has hardwood floors throughout, a small back deck off the master bedroom, and even programmable heated tiles in the bathroom for the colder winter months. The asking price also includes an assigned parking spot.

Two-Bedroom in Former People’s Drugstore on Capitol Hill

In the mid-20th century, the street level of 1018/1020 East Capitol Street NE was a People’s drugstore, where one could get a meal for 35 cents. The store was vandalized in the riots of the late 1960s, and never opened back up. Instead, the building was converted to condos by DC-based architect Robert Bell in the 1970s. The first-level listing now on the market has a spacious living room, dining room and den area with large windows and a fireplace as well as two large bedrooms. Five-Bedroom Palisades Home Hits Market For the First Time

Depending on a buyer’s interior design tastes, this five-bedroom Palisades home may need a makeover.
