Best New Listings: Capitol Hill, Mount Pleasant and Woodridge
In this week’s edition of Best New Listings, we look at a one-bedroom condo in a Capitol Hill Beaux Arts building, a Mount Pleasant two-bedroom condo and a three-bedroom Woodridge bungalow with financing assistance.

One-Bedroom Condo in Right Next to the Supreme Court
This top-floor, one-bedroom condo is literally on Capitol Hill: it’s across the street from the Supreme Court. Residents have a view of the Court from the kitchen window and can see the rest of the Hill through the many other windows and private deck. The layout of this condo, in a 1934-built Beaux Arts style building, is interesting; the main living area has all sorts of nooks and dividing walls. The current owner seems to be keeping the bed in the sizable living room and using the bedroom as an office. The bathroom would benefit from some updating.
- Full listing: 101 2nd Street NW, #101-3 (map)
- Price: $395,000
- Bedrooms: One
- Bathrooms: One
- Square Footage: 819
- Listing Agent: Eloise Brantley, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage

Two-Bedroom Condo in the Heart of Mount Pleasant
This two-bedroom condo at the corner of 17th Street, Mount Pleasant Street and Park Road is just across from the neighborhood’s main triangle, which hosts the weekly farmers’ market. The square footage isn’t huge and accommodates two bathrooms, but the bedrooms are full of light and a storage unit helps. As a corner unit, there are plenty of windows all around. Bay windows in the living room and master bedroom bring in even more light. The rooftop patio looks inviting and usable.
- Full listing: 3220 17th Street NW, #207 (map)
- Price: $475,000
- Bedrooms: Two
- Bathrooms: Two
- Square Footage: 940
- Listing Agent: Marc Cormier, Keller Williams Realty

Three-Bedroom Bungalow in Woodridge
This beautiful bungalow is ready to be sold as part of the City First Homes program. This three-bedroom, three-bath house in Woodridge was recently renovated and is available to buyers who make less than a specific amount ($89,124 for a single buyer, $101,856 for two). The buyers will receive significant assistance with the down payment in exchange for less equity when they sell. Details of the program can be found here. Woodridge in Northeast DC is fairly suburban feeling, and this house definitely feels family-ready, with a porch, front yard and finished basement.
- Full listing: 2213 Douglas Street NE (map)
- Price: $359,900
- Bedrooms: Three
- Bathrooms: Three
- Year Built: 1925
- Listing Agent: Jennifer Myers, RE/MAX Allegiance

The building in Mount Pleasant is still trying to fully convert to condos and has been for a few years. Not sure if the renovation is fully finished but it’s been going on for years. The individual units were very well done but hoping to get $50K more than the purchase price seems overly ambitious. The prices were too high back when the units were first offered so I’d say this one will be on the market for awhile unless the seller adjusts expectations significantly.
