Best New Listings: Condos, Row Houses and Country Club Mansions
In this week’s edition of Best New Listings, we look at a two-bedroom row house in Capitol Hill, a two-level condo in Adams Morgan, and an enormous five-bedroom colonial in a Potomac country club community.

Updated Two-Bedroom Row House on Capitol Hill
This row house on the eastern edge of Capitol Hill, just northeast of Lincoln Park, is a pretty good option for first-time buyers. Built around 1900, the listing has an updated kitchen and bathroom, restored heart pine floors and exposed brick. The narrow main level leads to a custom landscaped backyard and patio, and the upper level squeezes in a small second bedroom with the master bedroom and bathroom. There is no parking space, but the house is close to the H Street Corridor and about a 15-minute walk to Eastern Market.

- Price: $429,500

- Bathrooms: One
- Year Built: 1900

One-Bedroom on Adams Morgan’s Main Drag
This one-bedroom unit at the corner of 18th Street and Kalorama lives on two floors, with the living room, kitchen and a half bath downstairs and master suite upstairs. Big windows keep the small space bright, and the upper-level master suite has a bedroom, full bathroom, walk-in closet and a washer/dryer. The condo fees at The Madrid, the building where the listing is located, are on the low side at $201 per month.
- Full listing: 2300 18th Street NW, #108 (map)
- Price: $339,000

- Bathrooms: 1.5

Country Club Living in Potomac
Home prices in the Avenel community in Potomac range from $500,000 to $10 million, and residents enjoy amenities that go beyond the standard pool, tennis court and golf course; stables and horse trails create a more bucolic feel than your typical swanky country club. This five-bedroom colonial is filled with over-sized areas, including a formal living room, family room, library, finished basement, two offices…the list goes on. The master bedroom has a private sitting area and a bathroom bigger than some studios in DC.
- Full listing: 9300 Crimson Leaf Terrace, Potomac, MD (map)
- Price: $1.625 Million
- Bedrooms: Five
- Bathrooms: Five
- Year Built: 1991
- Listing Agent: Wendy Banner, Long & Foster
